[the buzz - updated 12.17.11]
Just about a week out from Christmas, and if you're like me, it's going to be a mad dash to the finish.  One thing we'll hopefully tackle this weekend is the official family holiday photo - looking at these for inspiration.  Thoughts?

Also hope everyone continues to gorge through the season so after the holidays when you resolve to get back in shape you'll be totally primed for my new self-help guide Hey, Fat Ass! A Guy's Guide To Losing Weight & Getting Right. No joke, I'm finishing the layout now with my buddy Keith Sokol from Boogs & Bam Designs - we'll hopefully have it out by early February.

Which means you have that much more time to overindulge. So as you ease yourself down by the fireplace to digest between feedings, remember that nothing satisfies better than a great satire ... or my latest effort, For the People: The Invisible Hand of Power's Unofficial Guide to the 2008 Presidential Election. Buy one for yourself and many more as gifts - Barnes & Noble has had special discounts on the paperback edition at BN.com and you can also find both digital & print versions at Amazon.com, and Books-A-Million.com.  Read an excerpt now by CLICKING HERE.

While you're here, check out the first novel, Ocean Raton, and other stuff like Reader Resources, John's playlist, and the bookstore. There's also a link in the Media Center to the profile of yours truly that Florida Trend ran and catch my May appearance on PlumTV - - CLICK HERE to check it out.

Please sign the
guest book to memorialize your visit, and be sure put the seat down when you're done. Thanks!
