January 14, 2008 Today as my daughter turns eight, and I think of how fast time flies and how quickly the future becomes the present, I must further voice my support of Barack Obama for President.
Frankly, I believe the word "change" should be banned from the political vernacular since it has been rendered meaningless by the insincere political voices who have bandied it about since before I can remember. "Change" has forever meant "more of the same" on the campaign trail ... until now.
Call me naive, call me a blind optimist, call me a simple guy with a simple hope that this country can be better for our children and those generations yet to come. Call me all those things and more, and then call your attention to the video clip on the right and give it a listen.
If you like what you hear and think his message makes sense for our country, we could use your support. Obama does not accept money from lobbyists or political action committees - his campaign is built on the support of individual donors so that it answers to no one but the people.
